  My wife & I stayed in a sea facing room for 4 nights in June. We arrived in Paleochora by bus from Chania and the studios are only 100... read more yards from the bus station. We left by ferry. Again only 100 yards from the studios. The owners were extremely helpful and always available should we have needed them. The room was spacious with a private balcony overlooking the Libyan sea. It was typical Greek simple but very clean with a comfortable bed, good shower and nice towels. The facilities for cooking were limited but we never intended to cook anyway. The studios are closest to the pebble beach but also within a 5 minute walk of the sandy beach. Hopefully we will return to Paleochora soon. When we do I will look no further that Corali for our accommodation. More

All the facilities were clean, I had fast internet and netflix on the TV. Overall, it was great value for money.

Lying on my bed with the air-con on... read more I can faintly hear live Greek music on the pavement downstairs- I'm in the back apartment with its own internal patio- there are no tour buses- no hen nights or stag do's just a large number of Scandinavian families and Greeks-a closed off street with 10 or so restaurants which are heaving til well after midnight yet it's quiet and calm. When did u last find yourself somewhere like this? For me not for years. People watching is the highlight and going without a phone BLISS- We've had a sensational lunar eclipse- a wedding and a funeral and it's only day three!!! This is the way holidays used to be like - gentle and laid back - am I showing my age? Definitely and I don't care one bit More

But, they promise a terrace, and a terrace is essential part... read more of a Mediterranean studio, on which one can sit in the evening, breathing fresh air and washing eyes at the sea or other view.... Really what we got was a square place of 2X2 meters closed by walls of the next building, can't even look at the sky. There are 3 outside units of air condition which heated the place up to the 40 c.
So, if you insist to rent a room there ask for a room which has a really terrace facing the beach. More

The road outside is closed to traffic between 17.00 & 0200 I believe so don't get caught out like I did, I am not sure if I will get a parking ticket for this?

It was lovely seeing all the tourists chatting in the restaurants below with the children happily playing in the street.

We are sure this is going to be a great holiday, check out the beautiful sandy beach at the opersite see to the apartment with plenty of quality restaurants to choose from.

You can higher sunbeds & grass parasole for only six euro a day with beech service if you like.

The supermarkets in town are excellent with clean well stocked shelves..

We booked the room with the private balcony and our room was clean and comfortable. It is in the perfect spot for being close to all the shops and restaurants. Despite being in Paleochora just as the summer season had ended there were plenty of restaurants and bars open - the town was just a little quiet and that suited us.

You must try the pizza restaurant - seriously good food at great prices, as well as friendly service, and they do more than just pizzas. It was the busiest place we ate at - full as we were leaving.

  While I was on the bus from Chania to Paleochora, having booked a stay at Corali Studios, I received an email saying: "Your reservation has been rejected." This was AFTER... read more confirming my reservation and securing it with a credit card number. Panicked, I called Corali right away to see what had happened, and they let me know that because I had not arrived yet (it was 8pm) they gave away the room. Not only that, but the man who answered the phone (presumably the owner) was aggressive and hostile, angry that I had not let them know my arrival time. They had not attempted to contact me in any way before canceling the reservation, and left me--quite literally--stranded, as it was the middle of August and everything was booked up. I will say that this experience with Corali Studios was the only negative aspect of my stay in Paleochora. After some scrambling to get myself situated after this ordeal, it was a lovely holiday with warm and helpful locals. Just do yourself a favor and do not taint your experience with a stay at Corali!
